Hollywood, Florida land developer has excited local officials on the Southern Coast of Costa Rica with their continued development efforts.

Parrita, Costa Rica (PRWEB) February 2, 2007 -- The town of Parrita, Costa Rica, is experiencing an incredible growth spurt due in part to a Hollywood, Florida, corporation and its Chairman William Gale, who have recently begun heavy development in the area. According to Parrita's City Engineer Daniel Rojas, the area has seen a 153% rise in applications for construction permits within the last 12 months. Rojas points to the construction of Paragon's Punta Verde and Presidential Estates residences as an example of Paragon's influence in the area. The company is planning to improve the aqueducts infrastructure, allowing Paragon Properties of Costa Rica to provide potable water service for the 85 residences that will build in those projects and also the 400 residents who live in the immediate area.

Paragon Properties owns more than 1,000 hectares (2470 acres) of land in Costa Rica which will someday house a series of individual residential complexes.

Among the proposed developments are Ocean Palms and Ocean Palms Shopping Plaza which are in the process of gaining approval from the National Institute of Housing and Urbanism (INVU) and at the Technical Environmental Secretary (SETENA) located in Costa Rica's capital San Jose.

Paragon's Ocean Palms site plan also consists of 150 home sites that will be developed on 48 hectares (100 acres) of land located next to Costa Rica's main "Costanera" Highway. The second phase of development slated for fourth quarter 2007, calls for the addition of a shopping center distributed on three hectares (6 acres) located on the main highway.

Esteban Soto, Paragon's Costa Rican President says, "Ocean Palms Shopping Plaza will compliment the adjoining residential complex as well as other developer's projects located near Paragon's many properties in the Parrita area."

According to Soto, the planned Ocean Palms development will include a beach club, gym, sports and recreation areas, golfing, and rest and park areas. Within the shopping center will be a grocery store, banking branches, open air cafes, stores, boutiques, a club house, optics and restaurants.###
