And get there with greatly discounted airfares from five different airlines on trips you plan to finish on or before June 13.

Travel to San Jose, the capital city and the starting point for many inland adventures to rainforests, cloud forests, an active volcano — and to explore bird and wildlife like nowhere else on Earth. Prices are $278 round-trip on your choice of American, Continental, Delta, Northwest or USAirways.

Likewise, round-trip rates to Liberia on the northwest Pacific coastal region are also $278 round-trip on four airlines: Delta, American, Continental or USAirways.

Factor in all of the extra taxes, fees and fuel surcharges and typical round-trip ticket totals are just a few cents shy of $469.

With no advance purchase requirement, travel as soon as this week. And, trips are allowed seven days a week, based on sale seat availability.

The minimum stays vary by carrier. Stay any three nights with Continental, Delta, Northwest or USAirways; a minimum Sunday night stay with American. All carriers require travel to be finished on or by June 13. Buy tickets through April 25.

Delta Air Lines offers two daily nonstop flights to San Jose and one daily to Liberia. Beginning on June 29 and through Aug. 19, Delta will add a third nonstop flight between ATL and SJO.
