Testimonials | Coldwell Banker Costa Rica | Dominical Real Estate
Knowledge. Professionalism. Commitment. In the U.S. Commercial Real Estate marketplace, we strive to stay ahead of the pack by demonstrating these qualities. Its an expectation that sophisticated real estate investors have when working with real estate professionals here in the States. Costa Rica can offer a mixed bag. Its true that many agents in the real estate industry in Costa Rica are there purely for the lifestyle. During the real estate boom that prevailed for over a decade leading up to 2008, virtually anyone with a pulse could get a few deals done in Costa Rica. As a U.S.-based commercial broker, I met some of these so-called agents as I was researching investments for some of my contacts who were interested in international deals. Although I envied their lifestyle, I was not impressed with the knowledge, commitment or professionalism that was exhibited by those I initially encountered.
This changed completely when I began working with the partners at Coldwell Banker Vesta Group, based in Dominical. John Wieland, Daveed Hollander and James Drews have something like 40 years of collective experience in Costa Rica. They know their marketplace inside out. Based on experience alone, they are unparalleled in terms of market Knowledge. They are also leaders in their market leading activities and seminars that promote standards of responsible and ethical practices, keeping on top of international real estate trends through the collection of research and industry information. They exude Professionalism with a capital "P" And what about Commitment? I have personally been witness to the service they provide their clients a meeting prospective buyers and investors in all parts of their adopted country at any hour to show them deals and share their knowledge. As one of many examples, I once witnessed one of the partners making calls to scour the Dominical area so he could find someone who could speak French to translate for a prospective client, then drove the client and the translator around for an entire day, explaining the market and the various nuances of each deal that was inspected. That is true Commitment.
Its said that a rising tide lifts all boats. This was true in the Real Estate boom in Costa Rica prior to 2009. But when the tide goes out, we can see who was swimming naked. This is evident in the number of real estate offices and agents who are no longer in business in Costa Rica after 2009. Not CBVG. These guys survived and relative to the rest of the market, it could even be said that they thrived in their survival and it's because of their knowledge, professionalism and commitment that they remain in business to serve their clients and prospects.
If you're looking to buy or sell real estate in Costa Rica, you need to talk to these guys. Talk to them first if you can, or if you must prove it to yourself, talk to them last and you'll see what I mean.
