International investments up as more people acquire Costa Rica real estate.

Costa Rica real estate is one of the main areas that have experienced an increase in international investment.
According to statistics released by Costa Rica’s Central Bank (Banco Central) international investment is on the increase.  For the first three months of 2011 Costa Rica has enjoyed a 16% increase in international investment a total of $468 million, compared to the same period of time last year. 


It is important to note than several travel and tourism surveys have confirmed a newfound interest in vacation rental properties. Considering that Costa Rica tourism arrival figures have also risen by 7% in the trimester of 2011 more property investors are showing an interest in coastal Costa Rica real estate.


Coastal Costa Rica real estate is highly sought after thanks to the emerging popularity of the vacation rental niche market.  Changing tendencies with the worldwide travel and tourism industry has seen more people choosing to travel in groups.  Whilst hotels continue to be the favored accommodation choice more vacationers are opting for Costa Rica homes for rent.


A number of deciding factors have contributed to the increasing popularity of vacation rentals.  Families and groups prefer to be able to stay in a home of grand design and enjoy the properties facilities exclusively. Standardized hotel accommodation is often limited in size and their facilities are often communal.  Many vacationers relish the opportunity to stay in some of the finest examples of Costa Rica condos for rent.
