Beau Southwell

I am Beau Southwell, and I moved to Dominical, Costa Rica as a child with my father and older brother in 1994. I attended public school in the Dominical area of Costa Rica for five years and became an avid surfer. I returned to California in my late teens where I completed high school and eventually attended the University of California at Santa Cruz where I earned my Bachelors Degree. I obtained my real estate license through the State of California in 2007 and worked for both commercial and residential real estate brokerages. I was also a Police Officer in California for eight years where I worked as a bi-lingual patrol officer and SWAT team member. In my early thirties, I elected to leave the high-stress life of law enforcement in California and returned to the country I had always loved, Costa Rica.

We had originally travelled down to Osa to view an upscale development near Dominical and quickly concluded that it wasn't for us. Slightly downhearted, we decided to drop into Dominical having noticed a Coldwell Banker office the day before. So glad we did! I have been a permanent resident of Costa Rica for 25 years and have 40 years of real estate/brokerage experience both in Costa Rica and the States. I have worked the retail business in Dominical for a number of years before strictly doing residential land development. I have worked with and trained many local agents over the years. With Charlie’s previous experience as a builder, it adds a plus to me as a developer with new homes being built. Again, I highly recommend both Charlie and Beau.
