Resorts and hotels in Costa Rica recently swept the Trip Advisor's Travelers' Choice® Awards. Out of the top 10 destinations, Costa Rica received five awards and was honored with 16 of the top 15 hotel awards.

Costa Rica is now the most visited destination in all of Central America. In recent years, Costa Rica has worked diligently to provide visitors with stellar experiences while simultaneously embracing a commitment to sustainable tourism. The recent awards from TripAdvisor serve to underscore Costa Rica's continued success.
The five Costa Rican destinations to make the Top 10 Destinations in Central America included:

- La Fortuna de San Carlos-#3
- Tamarindo-#4
- Jaco-#6
- Santa Teresa-#8
- Quepos-#9
Eight of the Central American hotels appearing on the Top 25 Hotels in Costa Rica are located in La Fortuna de San Carlos. Of particular note was the Nayara Hotel, Spa and Gardens appointment to the No. 1 position on the Top 25 Hotels in Central America list. Other properties that made the list include:
