THE BEACH
Southwestern Costa Rica has beautiful beaches and fantastic vistas. Playa Uvita is among
the most stunning. This beach town is situated within the Marino Ballena National Park,
where humpback whales migrate twice a year. With beautiful weather Playa Uvita is a 2-
mile cocoa sand beach for swimming, surfing, and other water sports.
The beach is inside the protected area of the park, so hunting any of the marine life is
strictly prohibited. Snorkeling and scuba diving are favorite activities, as are visits to the
mangroves where green marine Iguanas, Olive Ridley Sea Turtles and Hawksbill Turtles
gather.

vibe. Nighttime security guard was a relief. Mosquito nets and towels were provided. Great
