An international music festival in Costa Rica is on the horizon on the shores of Costa Ballena located just south of Dominical in Uvita. The Best Fest Costa Rica 2013 will feature some of Costa Rica’s best bands mixed with bands from the United States. The music fest will light up the crowds on the South Pacific Coast for 2 nights with rock, jam, and funk featuring 18 bands like The Werks, Van Ghost, The Pimps of Joytime, Fusion Funk San Jose, Ojo de Buey, and many more. These are serious bands with serious talent.
The festival is the collective effort of Chuck Chastain, executive producer, and a team of talented and passionate music aficionados who love live music and Costa Rica. They also love helping their local community in Costa Ballena. A portion of the proceeds will be used to support wildlife preservation, reforestation efforts, and educating children in the local community of Costa Ballena.
The bands and talent at the Best Fest 2013 are the real deal. Van Ghost, also in the lineup, features lead singer, Jennifer Hartswick, who played with the Trey Anastasio Band for over a decade and has shared a stage with the likes of Herbie Hancock, The Rolling Stones, and Dave Matthews Band.
