Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, fits the bill perfectly. Boasting innumerable adventure activities, such as zip lining, parasailing, and surfing, this tropical paradise also boasts plenty of relaxing pursuits. Recently, Manuel Antonio has become known for its lush array of luxury amenities, including a slate of luxury spas, each of which offers its own distinctive ambience, character, and specialties.

One of the best things about visiting spas in Manuel Antonio is that you will find each is known for its own menu of available treatments. While each of the spas in this lovely ocean-side oasis welcomes you with relaxing flowers and candles and uses only natural products and oils sourced from the local rainforest, each one is different.

Cala Spa
Prices here tend to range from $65 to $150, depending on the treatment you select. The specialty here is the Cala Flor Massage, based on Swedish relaxing massage techniques, at a cost of $80 for a 90-minue treatment. This spa does not make house calls, but the moment you step inside, you are immediately welcomed by a traditional ambience. This is actually one of the few spas in the area to boast ocean views.

Holis Spa-Wellness Center
Prices here range between $35 and $250, with available treatments including holistic treatments as well as a variety of modern techniques that are designed to balance the body, mind, and spirit. House calls are available at no additional charge. The main specialty here is a holistic approach with a goal of overall wellness. Traditional spa treatments, such as Swedish massages are available, but this spa also offers Pilates, yoga, and much more.

Las Brisas Spa
Prices range between $45 and $290, with the specialty being the Las Brisas Massage at a cost of $100 for an 80-minute relaxing massage that incorporates a variety of techniques, including stretching and reflexology. House calls are available at a two-person minimum at no extra charge. The location of this spa perched high on a bluff overlooking beautiful Espadilla Beach is enough to relax you. Once you enter, you are immediately greeted by views of the rainforest and a warm, personable staff eager to assist.

Pacifica Spa (at Parador Resort)
Prices at Pacifica Spa range between $55 and $440 based on selected treatments. Mini-treatments are available for $20 to $35. The specialty here is the Pacifica Massage at a price of $90 for a 50-minute relaxing whole-body massage that utilizes a combination of movements to reduce tension and increase circulation. Pacifica Spa does not make house calls, but if you are looking for a luxury tropical spa, this is the place to visit. In fact, this is the only spa in Manuel Antonio that provides patrons with complimentary use of the Swiss shower, steam room, and Jacuzzi pool with each treatment. At the conclusion of therapy, patrons are served a plate of fresh fruit.

Raindrop Spa (Manuel Antonio Estates)
At Raindrop Spa, you can expect prices to range between $30 and $300. The specialty here is spa packages. While Raindrop Spa does not make house calls, the tranquil location and open-air atmosphere is well worth the trip. Taking care to incorporate natural elements, Raindrop Spa boasts a rustic Thai, Balinese, and Asian décor. Along with traditional treatments, this spa offers a range of wellness services, including weight loss and yoga.

Terra Spa at Gaia Hotel
Expect prices here to range from $90 to $150, but mini-treatments are also available for between $20 and $50. The specialties here are the Thai Massage and the Vichy Shower therapy. House calls are available for an extra charge. Staffed by highly qualified therapists, Terra Spa offers a range of treatments.
