When you enter the doors outside the pool into the main structure, you walk through a hallway to be greeted by a spacious open room that looks out to a 400-year old Ceiba tree in the middle of the jungle. The room features beautiful views of the mountain, valley, and jungle.
All locally sourced woods and custom work used in designing and building cedar wood ceilings and bamboo designs. A 12-person Rainbow Eucalyptus dining table ties together the common area and welcomes in the charm of the jungle. There is a fully-equipped kitchen intended for guests to use. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and everything an owner would need to successfully host large groups. Other amenities include a laundry room and linen closet plus a half bathroom for guests.
An attached open-air yoga deck can be found on the side of the main space. The yoga deck has hosted retreats of all sizes, but when it isn’t being used as a retreat space, it can be used for relaxation and reconnection with nature while enjoying the jungle surroundings.
Outside the main entrance of the common areas is a fiberglass saltwater pool recognized by guests and awarded Travel Myth’s “Hotels and Accommodations with Swimming Pools.” The pool is in a prime position to get maximum sunshine during the day. A bonfire gazebo constructed from bamboo on the property can be found along the cement path as you walk through the beautifully landscaped grounds. Perfect for roasting marshmallows!
The property is easy 2-wheel drive access on a publicly well-maintained road and feels like they are living among the treetops without having to put the wear and tear on their car. All surrounding property was purchased to ensure that there will be no neighbors in sight!
The second level of the common area structure you will find an open floor plan apartment with a full kitchen, living room, dining area and space to comfortably accommodate seven people. The apartment has three bedrooms, two large bathrooms (one with a garden tub), walk-in closets, as well as a separate washer and dryer. The apartment has spectacular views of the lush jungle, and it feels as though you are sitting high in a treetop(s). The apartment has two balconies and a private staircase entrance on the side of the structure. The apartment could stay as the owner’s quarters or it could be rented out at a higher cost.
Each eco-lodge offers two well-lit private bedrooms with full-size beds with cooling memory foam toppers, open closet space, and a small desk. The bathrooms all have instant hot water showers and natural stone sinks. This suite is located off of the yoga platform centrally located near the saltwater pool.
The property is just over 10 acres and features a mile-long, well-maintained hiking trail for guests to enjoy. The hiking trails lead guests to the base of the 400-year-old Ceiba tree that can be seen from the common areas as well as each private suite. On the hike, there are handmade wooden signs that say the names of the various tropical trees found on the property. The property is scattered with numerous mature fruit-bearing trees. A sample of the fruit-bearing trees and plants include mango, cacao, anona, sugar cane, yucca, rambutan, jaboticaba, cashew, achiote, chamote, miracle fruit, cass, avocado, suncoya, cacique, pejibaye, star fruit, banana, sweet lemon, palmito, mandarian orange, rose apple, guanabana, guava, mangosteen, noni, sour and sweet orange, and water apple.
